Introducing
White mushrooms are the most well-known and widely consumed mushrooms in New Zealand and around the world. Mushrooms are packed with minerals and vitamins, and they're also low in calories.
They make a fantastic addition to all your meals! You can sauté, grill, steam, and bake white mushrooms, or simply enjoy them raw.
Swiss brown mushrooms may resemble white mushrooms at first glance, but they're just a bit different. Of course, you can spot the distinction by their rich brown color, but their unique qualities don't end there. Their flesh is firmer, and their flavor is slightly more robust, with a hint of nuttiness. Swiss brown mushrooms contain slightly less moisture, resulting in less shrinkage when cooked.
The portobello mushroom, known as the big brother of the Swiss brown mushroom, boasts an intense and robust flavor that elevates any dish it graces. Its meaty texture and versatile nature make it a beloved choice among mushroom lovers. Whether stuffed or used as a meat substitute, the portobello's meaty texture and rich taste add depth and satisfaction to every bite, earning it a cherished place in the hearts of many culinary enthusiasts.
